ADHD and executive functioning coaching for students who want to change their approach to learning.

“We've been so grateful to build a relationship with Elena of Stronger Foundations. Her coaching goes beyond managing academics to setting goals and helping students think holistically about their lives. As a parent, she has helped me see more paths for advocacy at my child's school, and has removed so much of the friction about academics with my child. And, my child likes Elena and looks forward to their sessions ... he is now the one who is starting to remember them each week, and he even wanted to meet with her over school vacation! Elena sees my child with his academic struggles, his passion for his sports, and his life interests as a whole human, not just a kid who doesn't remember to turn his homework in, and I'm so grateful that she is in our lives.”

Key advantages of coaching with SFC:

  • Coaches trained in learning differences. Everyone who coaches for us has been trained by JST Coaching.

  • Comfortable environment. Coaching is not therapy, but it can have some therapeutic benefits through the coaching relationship without any of the stigma of therapy; we meet comfortably meet clients in cafes, at home, or virtually. Our goal is to create an environment of trust and compassion to improve lives.

What’s the right fit for my student? ADHD coaching is for students who have ADHD, while executive functioning coaching is for students without ADHD but who have executive function deficits. We offer both!

Who can benefit from coaching? Students who would like support reaching goals, improving executive functioning, or just getting more organized.

What are typical results? Students achieve goals (like creating a morning hygiene routine, or asking teachers for help more frequently), improve their grades, and increase their self-confidence.

Coaching is not counseling or therapy. In coaching…

“a core premise is that you are a whole person and have all the resources you need to succeed, you don't need any fixing. You just need guidance in getting to the next level of success. Coaching is based on a wellness model.” (source)
